Hours: Full time - Week 1 Monday to Thursday 7.45am - 2.45pm, Friday 7.45am - 8.15pm / Week 2 Monday to Thursday 1.15pm - 8.15pm, Sunday 7.45am - 8.15pm
Synopsis of duties:
- Working alongside a team of Support Workers and Link Workers, to improve the lives of young people and young families aged 16 to 25. You will be supporting young people to develop independence
- You will be involved in directly supporting young people, carrying out assessments of their needs, developing personalised support plans, promoting independence skills, provide compassion and motivation, empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations, helping people to manage their home, budgeting and more.
- You will have the opportunity to plan and deliver fun activities such as movie nights, making pizza, cultural awareness events, as well as the supportive and empowering intervention
- Acting as an advocate for our young people, championing best practice and raising awareness of homelessness, you will also work collaboratively with key partner agencies such as Health, Education, Job Centre, Housing, Social Care, etc. to ensure their holistic needs are met
Essential Requirements:
- Experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs including: homelessness, ex-offenders, substance misuse, domestic abuse
- Experience working with vulnerable children and young people (preferred but not essential)
- Experience conducting risk assessments and support plans
- Experience multi-agency working
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service
