PSS in a nutshell
At PSS, we’ve got an important job to do; and that’s to help people make the most of their lives. Whether you’re working directly with the people who use our services, or behind the scenes in one of our offices, every day you’ll be helping to make other people feel happier, healthier, and more supported.
We’re a social enterprise, or as we like to call it – a ‘business with a heart’. This means that all the money we make goes back into finding new ways to help people. Our aim is simple; we want to help people change their lives for the better – no matter what life throws at them. We’ve got offices across Manchester, Merseyside, the Midlands, Wales, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Yorkshire.
What’s our people and culture team all about?
Our people and culture team are there to make sure our people are happy, that they feel supported, and that they’re guided to be the very best they can be in their roles at PSS. We want our people to be proud of the work that they’re doing when it comes to supporting people to live their best lives, no matter what role or team they’re working in. Providing top-notch support will always be the ultimate goal for us, so we need people who want to be part of making sure we reach that goal day in and day out.
This team works a lot like a traditional HR team, so that means they’re working on the usual HR employment law advice and support they give to managers, but they’re also leading on the delivery of PSS’s engagement initiatives and many areas of our wellbeing initiatives. Our people and culture team are the ticking heart behind our busy organisation, which is why it’s really important that we have people who embody the PSS values and enjoy getting up and making a difference to people’s lives.
About the role:
Do you want to develop new skills whilst being part of an amazing team? We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join our fabulous people and culture team in Liverpool. Unsurprisingly, we’re looking for a real ‘people person’ (passionate about our culture is also a bonus too!) who’s completely committed to our cause and is motivated by making a difference. You’ll have a mixed bag of a role, which means you’ll be working closely with all of our experienced team members on lots of different things.
You’ll support the team with a whole raft of stuff, but these are some of the main things you’ll be working on:
