Role Purpose/Objective:
Reporting into the head of procurement , the procurement assistant will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing the best of quality materials, goods and services at the most competitive prices to enable the company to operate successfully. The successful candidate needs to ensure they contribute positively towards saving the business money, minimising waste and increasing profits through sourcing suppliers, negotiating and managing suppliers through the whole procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Liaise with Office Management and Site Foreman to determine material requirements
· Ensure that materials/plant/hire are delivered on time and correctly
· Identify where material can be ordered in bulk to take advantage of bulk buying discounts.
· Check supplier quotes accurately reflect the material requested.
· Accurately type up purchase orders for all materials ordered onto the Xero accounts system. Provide these to suppliers in a timely manner to commit the orders for delivery on the date requested.
· Ensure full traceability of material back to the supplier for every job via purchase order tracking/ logging.
· Obtain relevant material certificates from suppliers when required and save them with the job paperwork.
· Research and identify new suppliers to work with.
· Assist with other office admin tasks as and when necessary.
· To maintain relationships with suppliers to maximise the profitability of the Company.

· Be hard working and self-motivated
· Team player but also be able to work on their own initiative
· High standard of IT skills. (Excel, Word etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
