Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, payroll, and data entry, with proficiency in Sage 50 and Sage 50 Payroll.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000.00 - £28,000.00 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate and efficient data entry tasks
  • Set up new suppliers and handle CIS verifications
  • Add new employees to Sage 50 Payroll and Sage HR systems
  • Manage company holidays using Sage HR
  • Generate and issue client invoices
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Use Sage 50 for accounting processes
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all monthly employees
  • Handle weekly and monthly supplier payments
  • Address any payroll-related queries
  • Reconcile supplier and bank statements
  • Maintain accurate financial transaction records
  • Support daily financial operations of the business
  • Manage purchases and purchase orders
  • Submit monthly VAT returns
  • Submit monthly CIS returns

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry skills
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes
  • Experience in running payroll efficiently
  • Strong communication skills for working with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work well within a team
