WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR 1-PART TIME / RELIEF COOK (8-24HR/WEEK).

- To prepare, cook and plate food to a high standard for Residents and Staff adhering to a planned menu and based on the needs of Residents;
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Collaborate with the Catering Manager to prepare and plan meals
- Maintain accurate food inventories
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitised at the end of your shift
- Prepare and plan meals for a fixed period with the Catering Manager.
- Ensure a balanced diet is achieved from a variety of menus.
- Ensure foodstuffs are probed for temperature readings and only served if correct temperature readings are obtained.
- Ensure fridge and freezer temperatures are recorded daily.
- Maintain kitchen equipment as specified by respective manufacturers
- Ensure cleaning regimes are in place, regularly reviewed and vigorously applied.
- Supervise catering assistants and ensure that they understand their duties.
- Facilitate inspections of the kitchen by statutory authorities who have a legitimate right to inspect the kitchen.

Pay: From £12.00 per hour
