Now Education is collaborating with a trust in the Derby area to recruit several Cover Supervisors for secondary schools. The trust is seeking reliable and dedicated staff to ensure stability and consistency for their students. Various roles are available, including full-time, part-time, and ad-hoc bookings, as well as emergency cover. Strong classroom management skills are essential, as some classes may present challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and care for pupils in the absence of regular staff.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure that all assigned work is completed to a high standard.
• Effectively manage pupil behavior in line with the school's behavior and safeguarding policies.
• Build positive relationships with students and foster an engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 12 months of experience working with secondary-aged children.
• Proven experience and knowledge in behavior management.
• High expectations for student achievement and conduct.
• A genuine passion for education.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service.

We also offer a Cover Supervisor training course, which will be held in September at our Nottingham office. The course lasts 2-3 hours and is available to those who complete the registration process with Now Education.

All candidates must have the necessary qualifications and training. Work will be offered upon successful completion of Now Education's compliance checks, including holding an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
