Job Title: Picker and Dispatcher – Bare Root Hedging

Location: Glenmore Nurseries, Ingrie Farm, Glenrothes KY6 3HS

Job Type: Seasonal (Mid-October through End of April), Full-Time/Part-Time

At Glenmore Nurseries, we specialise in top-quality hedging plants and trees. As our busy season approaches, we’re seeking detail-oriented individuals to help pick and dispatch plants with care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plant Selection: Pick bare root hedging plants as per customer orders, ensuring quality.
• Order Preparation: Package plants securely for safe transit.
• Quality Control: Inspect plants for any signs of damage or disease before dispatch.
• Stock Management: Assist with stock control and inventory updates.
• Teamwork: Collaborate to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Health & Safety: Follow all safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Experience in horticulture or a similar field is a plus but not essential.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical stamina for lifting and moving plants.
• Attention to detail and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work extra hours during peak times.

Contract Duration:

This is a seasonal position running from mid-October through to the end of April.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
