Are you a recent Graduate of Psychology looking to make the step into an education teaching role? If so, then Educate-Group can help you. As a Graduate Psychology Cover Supervisor working within a school, you will build classroom-based experience, confidence and the skills needed to become a successful teacher of Psychology if this is a path you are considering.

Why not work for Educate-Group within a classroom support role for one year – and then complete our Initial Teacher Training Course, an amazing route to become a fully qualified Psychology Teacher. We can support you with both!

Whilst working as a Graduate Psychology Cover Supervisor for us, you are gaining valuable experience within a school setting supporting students. A typical day for you involves covering classes whilst the class teacher is absent. You will be confident, have excellent communication techniques and be able to maintain a safe working environment. Your main responsibility is to ensure that students carry out the pre-planned exercises that have been set for them. You will work closely with all departments but particularly Psychology helping to support students with the subject – encouraging and motivating them to learn.

Graduate Psychology Cover Supervisors will follow school policy standards, as well as observing and supporting students with any questions about the tasks which have been prepared by the absent class teacher.

To be a successful Graduate Psychology Cover Supervisor you must be able to “think on your feet” as no two days will be the same. This role is challenging but also very rewarding. Pupil behaviour can be particularly difficult at times - we need Graduate Phycology Cover Supervisors who are able to develop excellent, professional relationships with students. As a Graduate Psychology Cover Supervisor you will have the foundation to become a great Phycology Teacher, helping to shape students futures.

This is an excellent opportunity and a stepping stone for a Graduate Psychology Cover Supervisor looking for school based experience which will lead to a Psychology Teaching career.
