Overview:

Contract: 12 months Fixed-term contract

Location: Hybrid (Head Office: Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne)

This is a hybrid working role, so you’ll need to be able to work from our Head Office when required

Hours per week: 37

Salary: Up to £65,091, depending on experience plus £5,000 car allowance


About the role


We’re excited to be looking for a Head of People Services on a 12-month maternity cover contract.


With the upcoming launch of our six-year business strategy, you’ll be responsible for the implementation, delivery and measurement of the People and Culture agenda. Accountable to the Chief People Officer and wider Executive team, you’ll also be a member of our People Committee, with exposure to our Board of Trustees. You’ll play a vital role in helping NCFE to realise our people vision, part of which is to inspire colleagues with the means and motivation to access high quality learning, work and career experiences.


How you’ll make an impact:

  • Senior leadership of the People Services function to deliver first class service that enables business outcomes and mitigates risk
  • Growing the function’s expertise and resilience through high quality leadership, agile resource planning and talent mobilisation
  • Accountable lead on people-related organisational change programmes, to enable optimal structures, systems, people and processes
  • Operating within the NCFE Senior leadership Team, collaborating for optimum impact
  • Functional reporting to stakeholders at all levels, facilitating and role modelling continuous learning and improvement.

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • A continuous learning mindset
  • CIPD Level 7 (Postgraduate diploma or Masters in HR Management)
  • Experience in leading a People Services function and implementing strategy
  • Experience of leading organisational change and integration programmes
  • High quality communication, reporting and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders up to board level
  • Proven ability to identify, control and mitigate risks.
