Our returning private family located in Hertfordshire are seeking a live-in private carer/companion/housekeeper. Ready to start immediately!

The family requires an experienced individual to work on a shift pattern of (2) weeks on, (1) week on call and (1) week off per month. The ideal candidate will be a team player working along side current carer, hands-on and proactive happy with caring/companionship duties as well as day to day housekeeping as this is paramount to the success of the role.

Salary: £45k gross per year (depending upon experience up to)

The carer(s) will be paid a full salary, have their own separate accommodation which is a self-contained flat suited for one person only (all bills, paid for by the family).

Personal item(s) and foods will be at your own expense and are not paid for by the family.

Essential for the role;

· Full DBS Report

· Carer Qualification and certificates in place

· Must have a clean driving license and be a confident driver

· Must speak and understand a very good level of English

· Experience within a similar field

· Be a supportive person

· Possess a discreet, proactive, mature nature, able to use own initiative to hit the ground running.

Day to day Carer/companion/ housekeeper duties and responsibilities (but not limited to);

· Happy to drive the lady of the house around, using company vehicle to appointments, daily food shop visits, private engagements (if required).

· Assist with day to day care including (personal care when required)

· There is no medication to be administered, however the ideal carer should be knowledgeable in this area to do so if necessary.

· Be aware of sudden emergencies, confident to report to paramedics/Dr/family members

· First Aid trained

· A confident companion happy having a chat when needed

· Confident knowing when not to be around, politely able to excuse yourself not taking any personal offense.

· Housekeeping

o Dusting

o Polishing

o Hoovering

o Changing bed linen

o Over cleaning/ maintaining of home (lounge, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms)

· Laundry

o Washing

o Ironing

o Folding and putting away clothes and bedsheets

· Emptying bins

· Loading and unloading dishwasher

· Taking meter readings for bill purposes
