Job Summary:
We are seeking an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our team. As an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner, you will work under the guidance of experienced nursery staff to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and are looking to gain hands-on experience in a nursery setting. You must be 18 years or over to apply due to our minimum standards staff-child ratio's
Duties:
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and programs for children
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and outdoor activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery
- Assist with nappy changes, toilet training, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with other nursery staff to create a positive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and provide updates on their child's progress
- Follow all nursery policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- Genuine passion for working with children
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing nature
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced nursery staff
Skills:
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent observation skills to ensure the safety of children at all times
- Strong organizational skills to assist with planning activities and maintaining records
Note: This is an apprenticeship position, which means you will receive on-the-job training while working towards a recognized qualification in early childhood education Salary is £9 per hour and 30hrs per week
