Job Description

Sateba UK would like to recruit a Quality Control Inspector for our Stock Yard. working from our site in Ilkeston.

You will be responsible for all pre-loading and pre-delivery inspections relating to the conformity of GT and PP units, as well as for ensuring units are inspected and defects reported inline with the current requirements detailed within our ITP, Repair Procedure and Method Statement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out detailed unit inspections using visual inspection sheets against specification.
  • Instruct finishers on repairs when required.
  • Raise RAF’s when needed, ensuring conformity to requirements.
  • Carry out cover surveys if necessary.
  • Prepare units for client inspection for delivery (PLI) Pre-loading Inspection.
  • After Unit is loaded, present the unit to client for (PDI) Pre-Delivery Inspection.
  • Ensure all the relevant data is collected and inputted correctly on the Minerva tablet.
  • Witness window coring activities on site
  • Provides training and support to new and existing members of the Quality team
  • Nurtures and drives positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for raising any queries which may be detected, and where recurring themes arise, their escalation to the quality assurance team for focused improvement activity.
  • Ensures audit compliance with ISO 9001 QMS and Kite-mark license.
  • Inspection of all production and stockyard areas and reporting of defects/deviations
  • Draws up spreadsheets, compiling findings and recommend process/product quality improvements to assist continuous improvement.
  • Liaises with suppliers as well as the Client and their representatives.
  • Works flexibly with other departments and customers.
  • Communicates findings, conclusions and proposals effectively in writing

Knowledge, Experience, Qualifications and Training:

  • Knowledge of Quality, Quality Assurance, Inspection, Testing, Checking.
  • Preferred experience in concrete/pre-cast sector, construction materials or construction sector generally.
  • Possess previous quality inspection and material testing experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of operating in their chosen sphere of expertise, and able to bring this experience to the fore when carrying out the duties of the role.
  • Degree or other equivalent higher education qualification.
  • MS Office and strong computer skills
  • IOSH safety training

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.40-£16.38 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
