We are looking to recruit a Transport Administrator to join our site. You will work within a busy department and will be responsible for administration some aspects of planning, & general back-office tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing all daily tasks for compliance purposes
  • Inputting of daily run sheets onto spreadsheets and web-based programs
  • Filing of Transport related documentation
  • Complete daily, weekly reports/communications as and when required
  • Briefing drivers at the end of every shift, communicating planned requirements providing information on performance, company news and procedures
  • Update AVA with safety conversations/hazards/near miss/accident information
  • Ensuring drivers comply with Health and Safety regulations
  • Ensuring the department complies with the Road Traffic Act
  • Escalate all incidents / accidents accordingly
  • Ensure effective and timely reporting of all vehicle defects including accidents/incidents and liaison with External 3rd party breakdown / recovery agents.
  • Monitor all vehicle / trip progress and replan deliveries and collections as required. Provide effective and timely communication with planning team.

What will you bring?

  • Previous experience working in an office environment
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Previous Transport experience would be preferred but not essential
  • Strong administration skills including attention to detail, timeliness and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Must have a flexible approach to working hours
  • Self motivated with a ‘can do’ approach
  • Good team player who can work on their own initiative
  • Good communicator at all levels
