Job Title
Warehouse and Production Worker
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive Goods: Receive goods into the premises, confirm accompanying documentation, and book onto the inbound entry system.
- Stock Management: Ensure stock items are stored in appropriate locations and maintain accurate stock records at all times.
- Picking and Packing: Timely and accurately pick and pack goods to meet delivery timescales.
- Manufacture of Sports Mats: Manufacture sports mats and padding, including the manual stuffing of various heavy-duty PVC covers.
- Production Instructions: Understand and follow simple production instructions.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with PPE and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Stock Discrepancies: Record all stock discrepancies correctly.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Ensure that all areas within the warehouse are clean, tidy, and in good order.
- Continual Improvement: Be receptive to new ideas and continual improvements.
- Team Support: Support team members and demonstrate flexibility to assist them.
- Site Work (if needed): Some site work may be required, such as fitting speciality padding to walls, columns, and floors.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- Warehouse experience
- Valid counterbalance & reach FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence
Desirable:
- Driving licence
- Production experience
Additional Requirements:
- Literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to understand simple production instructions and drawings
- Licences must be provided at the interview stage for verification
Schedule and Holidays
Work Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
Holiday Entitlement:
- 22 days annual holiday, plus 9 statutory holidays
Salary
Competitive, dependent upon experience
