Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, and distribution of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts for the safe movement of materials.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
• Execute picking and packing duties with precision to fulfil customer orders.
• Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting as required.
• Maintain an organised warehouse environment by stocking shelves and managing inventory levels.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational targets.

Requirements

• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Experience in shipping and receiving processes is preferred.
• Proficiency in picking, packing, and materials handling techniques.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely; certification is a must.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for maintaining accurate stock levels.
• A proactive attitude towards teamwork and communication within the warehouse environment.
