Warehouse Operative (cold environment)
£30,605.20
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – 2 days 2 night (7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am)
Manchester (Trafford Park)
We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join our Chill Department at Manchester Dairy within our Müller Milk & Ingredients business.
The successful candidates will strive to process the most effective and safe way to produce the best quality finished product whilst working to continuously improve in line with the Müller values.
Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative:
- Manually pack product into trolleys, ensuring the product is fit for purpose and highlighting any non-conformance
- Transport full and empty trolleys across the chill
- Operate and complete asset care/deep cleaning on equipment
- Ensures good manufacturing, housekeeping, hygiene, and health and safety standards throughout their shift
- Part of an effective hand over between shifts, remaining within the chill until a relief takes over
- Completes all documentation, ensuring they up to date and available
- Operate trolley wash and ensures adequate trolley supply to fillers
- Leads by example encouraging appropriate behavioural safety and technical standards in support of company values and culture
- Able to carry out tasks requested by both, coordinators and team leaders
Please note this role requires you to work within a chilled environment however all PPE including Hi- Vis coat is provided.
To be a Warehouse Operative we're looking for the following:
- Previous manual packing work desirable, though not necessary
- Experience using a voice picking system such as Zetes & as400
- Teamwork & Collaboration
- Capability & Accountability
- A flexible approach; able to adapt to changing daily production plans
- A good listener/communicator
- Able to demonstrate initiative and prioritisation skills
- Effective team worker
