Hours: Monday-Thursday 19:00-05:30 (flexibility required)

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise day to day activities of the Ramp training teams at EMA & LHR
  • Carry out regular one to ones with direct reports
  • Support where required with delivery of training events (qualification restrictions may apply)
  • Plan future courses liaising with Ramp Supervisors and Managers.
  • Control the training feedback process
  • Manage the improvements identified through the feedback process.
  • Monitor and manage performance KPI’s
  • Carry out training observations and quality assurance checks on training delivery.
  • Motivate, coach and support staff at all times to develop high performing teams through active leadership and defined team and individual expectations.
  • Drive participation in Employee Opinion Survey and contribute to follow up actions.
  • Identify training requirements.
  • Champion organisational initiatives; CIS, CIM, Performance Dialogue Boards
  • To maintain training and ensure compliance.
  • Introduce Team KPI’s.
  • Manage performance of the training team

You’ll bring to this role:

  • Sound knowledge of Ramp/Sort operations at an airport.
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Training experience preferred
  • Patient and approachable.
  • Self-motivated with ability to motivate staff.
  • Prioritise workload of self and others.
  • Able to make ‘dynamic’ decisions.
  • Have good planning and organising skills.
  • Able to interact with staff from other departments.
  • Ability to build commitment and maximise team performance by providing direction, support and leadership for a group, inspiring them to achieve high standards of performance.
  • Must meet criteria for issue of an Airport Pass.
  • Must hold a full driving license.
  • A safety first attitude. You must conduct yourself in an orderly manner within the workplace, ensuring that correct uniform and PPE is worn when required.
