Job Description
NHS Bookings - Administrator
Location: Woodlands Hospital, Kettering
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time, Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 17.00
Salary: Depending on experiences + Benefits
Summary:
Woodland Hospital is one of Northamptonshire's leading private hospitals located in Kettering. Woodland Hospital has 35 single rooms, all with en suite facilities, a multi bedded day ward and a two bedded high dependency unit. By investing in advanced medical technology, the hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services. The fully equipped theatre suite with ultra clean air technology is particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures offered such as arthroscopy, hip and knee replacements, including hip resurfacing and spinal surgery.
The Role
Exciting opportunities have arisen at Woodland Hospital as we continue to expand with a new Day Case Hospital. We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals with excellent interpersonal and customer services skills. You will be joining our successful Admissions team. The successful applicants will take pride in ensuring all our patients receive a first-class experience.
Other aspects of the role are; working with different stakeholders within the business such as; Consultants / Medical Secretaries and the Senior Leadership team. You will need to have the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload whilst working under pressure, be target driven and have a proven track record of achieving results.
The working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 09.00-17.00.
High-level duties include:
  • Booking Inpatient Admits
  • Patient enquiries
  • Consultant Patient Waiting Lists and RTT
  • Self-Pay, Insured and NHS Patient process
  • Effective Theatre List Management
  • Daily reports / KPI’s
  • Internal Funding Requests (IFR)
What you’ll bring with you
  • Proven track record of achieving targets whilst maintaining an outstanding level of customer service
  • The ability to work under pressure whilst remaining patient / consumer focused
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills to include Excel and Word
